Hola amigos! Hope you’re having a great day! It’s a scorching day here in Macedonia! It’s just 10 more days till my much deserved holiday & honestly, I can not wait! Today I have the absolute pleasure to kick off the blog tour for Rosie Nixon’s much anticipated book, AMBER GREEN TAKES MANHATTAN, which just got out!! It’s the second installment in the Amber Green series, first one was THE STYLIST and I absolutely ADORED IT. You can read a review of it HERE. As you see I LOVED the first part & I was sooo excited to dig in into the second. It’s a gorgeous summer book, I’ve already read half of it and received it only yesterday so that tells you something. Amber is a very down to earth, likeable character who has the best intentions and a real drive to make it in the styling world. She’s thrown in at the deep end in the first book, The Stylist, assisting a notorious (and rather erratic) stylist to the stars and then thinks she’d prefer styling shop dummies because they can’t talk back, unlike the celebrities! But Amber soon misses the excitement and is keen to build up her portfolio again so she enlists an agent in New York and hits the ground running trying to kick-start her career Stateside. The first star she styles turns out to prefer going naked ­and there is a funny episode involving styling a bunch of babies and mischievous toddlers – so there are laughs and shocking moments along the way. But Amber’s got real talent which is important because you don’t become a success in the fashion world without having an innate sense of style, a ‘can-do’ attitude and putting in a lot of hard work. She’s a really lovely girl, she’s funny and someone you would want to hang out with on a night out.
