This is Clare

She has been writing on This Chick Reads since 2019. She is Melbourne-based and works as a freelance writer.

She cultivated her love for books growing up in her mum’s Sunshine Coast café-bookshop. She loves character-driven fiction, sharp mysteries, and personal nonfiction, and is drafting a high-country whodunnit with her dog Banjo nearby.

and this is Allegra

She is a much newer addition to the This Chick Reads family, joining in 2025.

Allegra loves things in the world of science fiction, fantasy and a little bit of horror, and her reading habits are no exception. Based in Perth she works in a café by day and independent cinema by night and hopes to convince Clare to branch out a sister review site ‘This Chick Watches.’
