I can’t believe it’s already 21st of December, it feels like only yesterday I started my Christmas countdown, and here we are just 4 sleeps away from Christmas. Time sure does fly! Today I have the pleasure to welcome lovely Erin Lawless, the author of ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, to my blog. Erin’s here to share her Christmas wish and I do hope all her wishes come true. Thanks to Erin, I’m also giving you guys a chance to WIN A PAPERBACK of her debut, THE BEST THING I NEVER HAD. Read on for her gorge post and don’t miss the giveaway. Many thanks to lovely Erin for taking part in #TCRXmas and donating this amazing prize.

All I want for Christmas, is…

Driving lessons. I know. I’m going to be 30 next year and I can’t drive. I have to get a bus to and from work and – whilst I appreciate the time it allows me to read! – is slowly driving me insane. I own a car, well, jointly own one with my husband (who luckily, CAN drive) so my automobile-future is assured… I just need to find the money to pay for lessons!

Xena: Warrior Princess DVD boxset.  Last year I discovered that my husband had ‘never really’ watchedThe X Files. This affronted me so much I immediately purchased the entire 9 seasons + the movies boxset and set about binge-watching. It’s recently come out that he NEVER watched my other 90s guilty pleasure – Xena – so that’s on the To Re-watch List too now.

Handbag Tangle Teezer. Me, every day: Where is my hairbrush? Is it in the bedroom? In the bathroom? On my desk? In my handbag? In my gym bag?? I really need to get one I carry around with me…

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 boxset: I’ve given up pretending that I’m too cool to watch The Vampire Diaries. I need the most recent DVD release to fill the hole in my collection!

Wedding dress box. I got married in September 2014. It was magical. My designer wedding dress had nine individual layers. It is less magical now the thing is still hanging in its dress bag looking like a dead body and taking up a lot of storage space. I need to get organised with a special wedding dress box!

Cheap Frills jewellery. I absolutely love this independent accessory designer from Brighton and every Christmas and birthday I point present-buyers in the direction of her website.

New trainers for Booiaka. On Monday evenings I hop, skip and twerk my way to my Booiaka class. I absolutely love it – maybe a little too much, as in less than a year my previously pristine trainers have basically fallen apart.

A magical accountant. I recently filed my first ever Self-Assessment tax return, and it basically drove me to drink. My desk is still cluttered with snatches of paper and miscellaneous receipts. I might need to get some professional involvement…

Plane tickets to Russia. Those of you who have read the story behind my latest book, Somewhere Only We Know, know that last year my best friend was deported back to Russia. Although this year we were lucky enough to get to meet up in Spain for her 30th birthday, it’s never enough, and I’d love to get to go and see her!

Tickets to The Book of Mormon: I keep putting off buying them thinking the prices are sure to go down soon. They never do!

About Erin Lawless

Erin Lawless lives a happy life full of wonderful friends, in love with a man who buys her books instead of flowers. To mix things up a little, she writes books where friends and lovers hit obstacles and (usually) overcome them. When she’s not doing that she reads absolutely everything she gets her hands on, spends an inordinate amount of time in pyjamas and runs a fun-but-informative blog on British history.

A new handbag, but my four year old keeps telling me that Santa does not bring handbags so I will have to have Lego instead

don’t actually have a Christmas tree up this year. Boring I know but there’s only my husband and I this year so couldn’t be bothered with tree stuff.
As to presents – I have everything I really want. A warm home, food in the cupboard/fridge/freezer. A couple of bottles of bubbly and best of all, a lovely husband

I love your “material things” comment! No problem! I’m ashamed to say there is always things I want. I’d love a slow cooker and a big pile of books (including a veggie slow cooker recipe book)
