Love and Other Man-Made Disasters by Nicola Doherty Blog Tour

A new week, a new blog tour! Once again, I have the honour to kick off an amazing blog tour for even more amazing author. Yup, I’m talking about Nicola Doherty, well established chick lit author, however this time she’s back with a YA novel. ‘Love and Other Man – Made Disasters’ was published by Orion on 2nd this month and it’s one of my most anticipated reads for June. Nicola is following the steps of chick lit stars, Sophie Kinsella and Paige Toon (who’ve also published YA) and I honestly can’t wait to read the new book and see how comfortable Nicola feels in the role of a YA author. I might be a bit biased (as I’ve LOVED her chick lit books) when I say this, but I’m pretty sure #LoveDisasters will be a huge summer hit and well accepted both among the younger and more adult audience. For now, I leave you with an extract from Nicola’s new release (Chapter 14) and as always massive thanks to lovely Nicola for the chance to be part of the blog tour.

A contemporary teen romance by Irish author, Nicola Doherty, about facing your fears and falling in love. A story with humour and heart, this book is perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Holly Smale and Stephanie Perkins.

Juno is scared of a lot of things. Climate change, urban foxes, zombies - the usual. So when she goes on a skiing holiday with her mum's adrenaline-mad new husband and his tearaway twins, she doesn't hold much hope of surviving. Then she meets Boy. Gruff, hairy and thrill-seeking, he's everything Juno doesn't like. Or is he? Juno's about to discover there's nothing more scary than falling in love.
