Three women, three Irish authors gathered together and made a wonerful collection of short stories. Summer holidays are the most favourite part of the year and short stories are so refreshing and perfect for relaxing. But how to review a short story without a spoiler?

I really loved the last one: The Green Grass of Home by Michelle Jackson. Travelling with airplane is not always that easy, and there is a whirlpool of events that delay the flight. Every passenger has his/her own temperament and character and unexpected things always seem to happen. Travelling with so many people is everything but boring. I’m pretty sure that airplane staff has so many stories to tell.

I also loved Costa Del Sol by Marisa Mackle. Two women with same last name go on same holiday in Spain and the agency mixes their identites. In a hilarious mix of unexpected events, both women get the most unexpected holiday ever.

This collection of short stories is a real refreshment after reading five-hundred-pages novels. The characters are interesting and unique. Some of us have wonderful memories from the summer holidays, some don’t. That’s why every story has a unique character with a unique holiday adventure. Perfect short read for the beach!
