Mixing romance, humour and a sparkle of magic, Juliet Madison is back with a new full-length novel about a bride-to-be, a mystery and the stripper next door.

When bride-to-be Sally Marsh attends a weekend away with her bridesmaids, the last thing she expects is an uninvited guest: the ghost of her fiancé’s ex-girlfriend.

Red is quirky, loud and distracting, and Sally is soon desperate to find the reason behind her presence, so she can rid herself of her embarrassing shadow before the wedding day. Unfortunately, the ghost is reluctant to share the reason for her existence, but very enthusiastic about Ty, the surprise hen’s night stripper who keeps showing up at awkward moments.

Time is running out for Sally, but it’s also running out for Red. By the time all is revealed, Sally will be tested to the limits, and go above and beyond everything she’s ever believed in order to ensure not only her own happy-ever-after – but Red’s as well.

5 Fun Facts about HAUNTED EVER AFTER by Juliet Madison

1.This book was originally called Haunted Housewives! I started plotting the story back when Desperate Housewives was popular, but since realized it might sound a bit dated, so my publisher came up with Haunted Ever After which I’m very happy with and suits the story.

2.Something spooky happened when I came up with the main character’s name. I Googled the very first name that popped into my head, and also came up with an alternate idea for a surname. My search led me to a sad story about a woman with that name who had been killed, and one of the street names mentioned in the article was the same as the alternate surname I’d come up with. I ended up keeping her first name and changing to a different surname, and I dedicated this book to her.

3.The ghost in this story is named after a reader!Occasionally I give away prizes like character names in books, and the ghost in Haunted Ever After (whose nickname is Red) is named after a reader who won this as a prize, but her name is kept secret until near the end. 😉

4.It includes one of my trademark underwear scenes! I don’t know how this strange tradition started, but since the publication of Fast Forward (if you’ve read it, you’ll know it has a disastrous, LOL underwear scene!) I decided to see if I could put some kind of altercation involving underwear in every one of my romantic comedy books. Haunted Ever After has two, and also a bathroom disaster. I like to put my characters through embarrassing hell. 😉

5.The setting is completely fictitious! I came up with the country town name, Barron Springs, and it took shape in my mind as a real place. This is the quiet, quirky town where my bride-to-be character and her bridesmaids stay for their bridal bonding weekend in an old, spooky house. I love being able to put things where I want them in a town and create my own little world. And the characters come up with a mantra for their fun, frivolous weekend: “What happens in Barron Springs, stays in Barron Springs!” But, will it?

I like that the fact that stories with “a touch of magic” are very unique and funny, especially contemporary stories with just a little bit of magic, the combination is amazing!
